Basics to Druids feral tanking

These days , even a healer's queue would take ages because many people become healers , so now its time for your druid to become a tank , one of the reasons to become a tank is you will always find a spot in raids and randoms in a blink , plus you will always be able to get new gear , even to ask raid leaders that you want to roll on off spec items unless you are in some nice guild .

Druid's tanking basic build:
---------------------------
http://www.wowhead.com/talent#0ZxGGsfbzceRcczAkbE0z (Source wowwiki)

Druid's threat :
----------------
Druid's threat is highly dependent on your Expertise and Hit Rating , so you must reach the capacity for both of these stats.

-Expertise cap : You will need Primal Precision (2/2) talent + 443 Expertise points to become Capped in this stat.
-Hit rating cap: You will need 263 hit points which gives a hit rating of 8%.

P.S: Some people say that we will need to have our weapon with some high DPS it self as a part to increase threat , yet am not very sure about it.

Druids and Defense Rating:
---------------------------
One of the cool thing about bear tanks , you don't need defense rating at any point , because we have a talent called Survival of the Fittest which eliminates the need for defense rating , so our primary stat for tanking becomes Agility as its the only stat which druids benefit from to gain Dodge , druids are proud of their high armor and high dodge rating and of course their high stamina compared to other tanks , those all fit the place of being unable to parry or block , yet to be able to start starter raids such as naxx (10/25) , you will need at least (30%) dodge chance , later on ice crown citidal you will need at least 50%-60% because of the debuff Chill of the Throne .

Druids tanking rotation:
------------------------

- Tanking one target rotation :
Faerie Fire > Mangle > Maul > Lacerate > Demoralizing Roar

For Lacerate you will still need to use it even if you have 5 stacks on your target already , but for Demoralizing Roar , just reapply it when the effect expires.

-AoE Tanking :
For my self when it comes to AoE tanking i use a simple macro :

/cast Maul
/cast Swipe

and don't forget to keep your Demoralizing Roar up.

while you should have Glyph of Maul , start spamming this macro while tabbing between the mobs around you this will be just fine specially when you are tanking ICC trash.

thats it for now ;)

MM Hunter PVP build

This Post no more matches online World Of Warcraft version , it was written during Wrath of the Lich King expansion.

Am talking today about my favorite Marksmanship Hunter build , and how to get advantages of it.

Here is the Build's link :
http://www.wowhead.com/talent#cZ0eVkRbdGIotuVoxczio0h:I0oM0V (0/51/20)

In this build , which i use it for my self , ive tried to keep on the maximum burst running while having a really good survival , as you see we most of the DPS talents on , but we taken some of them instead of others compared to DPS builds.

1-Concussive Barrage : We spent 2 talents points here because it will make your Chimera shot the ability which will include a Concussive Shot , so you wont waste like 1 second of GCD - (Global Cool Down) , plus if you are getting attacked by more than 1 player , you can use Multi-Shot for slowing them (up to 3 players) so you get time to put your traps.

2-Readiness : While Readiness is really awesome when you want to down your target by nuking , its mostly useful against caster classes , because with our build , you can get 2x Scatter shots , 2x Silencing Shots , 2x Deterrence , 2x Feign Death as this ability refreshes all your abilities Cool down.

3- (2/2) Rapid Killing + (1/2) Rapid Recuperation : Those talents are the only way to regain our mana during a fight which you are not engaging caster classes , as we don't want to keep switching to Aspect of the viper as this lowers our DPS which is our PVPing main key.

4- Surefooted/Entrapment : Those ones are very situational , in my build i preferred Surefooted over than Entrapment , Entrapment is mostly about dealing with enemies if your Resilience and Stamina is low , plus when it comes to PVPing with Ranged Classes , it doesn't help at all , also we are going to use a crab pet which makes us in no need for this talent, so Surefooted will help more in Arena or when having a healer in your group . but stills a matter of taste :).

5-Survivalist : Is really a good talent , as it increases our stamina by 10% , as we don't have any healing ability , it helps us to survive longer.

6-Lock and Load : As i said earlier , since we don't want to keep using Aspect of the Viper , this talent (LnL) , help us keep our mana , while giving a nice quick burst of the cool down.

-Yet for me this build is very efficient against all classes , spcially the classes who are superior to us in PVP before we ding 80 , such as (Priests , Warlocks , Druids)

Our Pet ?
-The best pet for this build is the crab , we wont keep the crab on auto attack , because we will use it only when we need , and so we are going to Macro our pet's abilities.

This is our pet's talent :
http://www.wowhead.com/petcalc#0wzbd0r0bkoo

1- Pin(Pet family ability) : This lovely ability helps us to pin our target in its place , its really awesome against Melee classes , as it helps us to move away while our target is pinned in his/her place . -Remember , you will need to get this macro'd and add it to your action bar-

2- Charge(Talent) : This ability can help us Inturrept a spell , or stun for 1 second , really help full when kiting and its one more ability to Interrupt casters off the global cool down. we will need this ability macro'd as well .

3- Taunt(Talent) : You may wonder what the hell could this do with PVP ? well it can taunt the warlock's/hunter's pet off your healer for 3 seconds , which gives your healer a little bit more time to heal him/her self .

4- Roar of Sacrifice : Really awesome when your healer/your self are getting nuked as it makes you immune to critical strikes!, you can macro this to instantly target the healer as its default target.

More to come ;)

Best class in the new races

Here am going to talk about which class will benefit the most from the Racial Abilities of each of the new races that are going to be introduced to gameplay when Cataclysm becomes online.

(Alliance) - Worgen :
  • Two Forms (Racial) Instant. Turn into your currently inactive form. 1.5 sec cooldown.
  • Viciousness (Racial passive) Increases all damage done by 1%.
  • Aberration (Racial passive) Reduces the duration of all Curses and Diseases used against you by 15%.
  • Flayer (Racial passive) Skinning skill increased by 15 and allows you to skin faster.
  • Darkfight (racial) instant. 3 min cooldown. Activates your true form, increasing movement speed by 70% for 10 sec.
-The Worgen's Two Forms Ability is mostly a thing just for fun , no benifit are gained when using this ability.
-Viciousness is a good DPS increasing ability , though by not a big amount ... its a racial ability so nothing more is expected as it gives 1% more damage.
-Aberration seems to be in someway a good ability to reduce the effect of Curses and Diseases , yet its mostly the best when PVPing , like when fighting against a warlock or a priest .
-Darkfight , well for me that is one cool racial ... if you are a rouge , you get one more sprint , if you are a warrior you get one more charge ? ... and if you are a hunter , you get one more tool to get away when kiting ... so its really useful , specially when doing BGs at the levels 10-19 , or mostly running through the tunnel of WSG :P.
-Flayer is not that big deal .. you just makes you skin faster without a skinning knife , plus you get your skinning skill increased by 15 .

Summery:
- Worgen's abilites are directed to Non-caster classes , so most classes who will benefit are (Warriors , Rouges , Hunters , DKs) .

(Horde) - Goblins :
  • Rocket Jump : Activates your rocket belt to jump forward. 2 minute cooldown, shared with Rocket Barrage.
  • Rocket Barrage : Launches your belt rockets at an enemy, dealing X-Y fire damage. (24-30 at level 1; 1654-2020 at level 80). 2 min. cooldown.
  • Time is Money : Cash in on a 1% increase to attack and casting speed.
  • Best Deals Anywhere : Always receive the best discount regardless of faction standing.
  • Pack Hobgoblin : Calls in your personal servant, allowing you bank access for 1 min. 30 minute cooldown.
  • Better Living through Chemistry : Alchemy skill increased by 15 (and you gain bonuses for healing/mana potions you made; 25% more mana/hp from potions).
-Rocket Jump .. i thought they felt it unbalanced that Worgens get a sprint-like ability , while goblins don't have it , so they made one which gives the same effect -well nearly- , but in Goblins style .
-Rocket Barrage is simply the same effect as the Engineer's Hand Mounted Pyro Rocket , it is cool as one more ability of the global cool down when dpsing , and even when PVPing , and also its nice how they made it scale with the player's level , so it doesn't hit 2k when you are level 1 .
-Time is money , hmm ... haste is something which mostly effects casters , 1% haste is really good amount as it could lower some casting ability by 0.1 seconds , and it also effects your HOTS and DOTS incase of priest or warlock , to deal more heal / damage .
-Best deal anywhere , it really sounds great when getting items that are subject to faction reputation for the discount , so when you are going to get your mounts , its just the lowest price possible , and it could help you save 1k gold when you are going to buy the Epic flyer training.
-Pack Hobgoblin , is just some useful tool , nothing special .
-Better living through Chemistry , well this one is simliar to other racial , just like the one with Blood Elfs that increases enchanting , and one with Dranies that increases jewel crafting , so nothing special about it except it increases the potions effect on the player .

Summery
- Apperently Goblins are going to be lucky when picking caster classes , because of having one DPSing ability off the mana pool , more haste , and improved Alchemy as most of cloth wearers pick Alchemy as their profession. so i think the most classes will benfit the most (Priest , Warlock , Mage , Shaman )

Top DPS as a Hunter : Marksmanship

As we all know the main DPS specs in WOTLK are Marksmanship & Survival , many guys who are just into numbers (thankfully xD) started to write spreadsheets to simply show you if you are gemmed correctly and your rotation and stuff are the best to maximize you DPS as much as possible.

Yet , the top DPS spec is shown to be Marksmanship compared to Survival , specially when you are close to Armor Penetration Cap which is

You may wonder what should i gem , Agility vs Armor Penetration . If you are a survival , you just dont need to worry about Armor Penetration , because survival relays on high Agility for a high chance to crit and more attack power .

As Marksmanship , you could start to gem ArP only and if only you are into the area of Passive ArP , Passive ArP means the ArP you get only from your gear without any gems or procs.

So here is the list of when you will need to start gemming ArP depending on your Passive ArP :

1- (0~400 ArP) - You can still be Survial / Marksmanship , wont be a big difference, keeping gemming agility.
2- (400~700 ArP) - You can be Marksmanship and safely drop Improved Arcaneshot from your talent , and remove it from your rotation , but you still continue gemming agility. you can use the talent points spent on Imp Arcanshot on Improved Hunter Mark.

Upon reaching 720~780 , you can get a trinket with ArP increasing Proc , this is called Softcap , you can find one of the trinkets in ulduar 25 (Mjolnir Runestone) .

For hard cap , you will need to make sure that your gear gives you around 800 ArP , so you make sure you have enough good gear which wont let you lose lot of Attack Power and Critical Chance.

-Your rotation when 0~400 ArP should be like this :
Rapid Fire > Kill Shot > Silencing Shot > Serpent Sting > Chimera Shot > Aimed Shot > Ready Shot > Arcane Shot >Steady Shot

-Your rotation upon getting 400~700 or more ArP should be like this :
Rapid Fire > Kill Shot > Silencing Shot > Serpent Sting > Chimera Shot > Aimed Shot > Ready Shot > Steady Shot

Hint: if you are ArP capped , and when you are in a raid , try keeping one Rapid Fire for the time when a Shaman pops heroism , so when the shaman does it , pop your Rapid Fire!, your Steady Shot cast time may become 0.9 sec or less (depends on your haste) .. so start spamming Steady Shot , and go back to your normal rotation after Rapid Fire effect expires , you will notice that this period will increase your overall DPS by a nice amount .

AQ - Remade Raid for cata

Many rumors say that the known Vanilla raid Ahn'Qiraj will be remade in cata , yet its not sure to be ready when cata hits online , but it could be on some major patch.

As Cho'gall is going to have some nice role in cataclysm as mentioned on wowwiki and his clan as well, as it is lore-wise the part that Chog'all began the resurrection of his new master, the Old God C'Thun, monstrously deforming the ogre's body in the process , so C'Thun is a boss in the temple of AQ , so mostly seems it is going to be a new AQ ... so make sure you have the achievement now , as it will surely become a Feat Of Strength when the new major content patch after cata goes alive :).

Quotes :
"It is possible that Cho'gall might play a bigger or minor role in the upcoming Cataclysm expansion, as he is one of the servants of the Old Gods like Deathwing (primary antagonist of the expansion), as his clan will be playing a large role in the expansion as well"

Pre-Cataclysm major events

The time just before Cataclysm hits online , many patches will go on , most of them are Cataclysm related with the lore they present to us .

Here are some of these patches reviews :

1- Patch (3.3.5) The Ruby Sanctum : Many people say that this will be a dungeon similar to onyxia , or simply like the Eye Of Eternity , and it will have nice items that will drop in a level similar to ICC loots . The dungeon is said to the 1st instance that will be related to the show up of Death Wing in Cataclysm, and will introduce a new Lore character named "Halion".

"A powerful war party of the Black Dragonflight, led by the fearsome Twilight dragon, Halion, have launched an assault upon the Ruby Sanctum beneath Wyrmrest Temple. By destroying the sanctum, the Black Dragonflight look to crush those that would stand in the way of their master's reemergence into Azeroth and to ultimately shatter the Wyrmrest Accord – the sacred bond that unites the dragonflights.

The battle that is to come will surely deal a crippling blow to the Red Dragonflight, however, it is up to you to stop this unprecedented offensive and defend the Ruby Sanctum. First you must face the assault of Halion's servants, Saviana Ragefire, Baltharus the Warborn, and General Zarithrian, before squaring off against Halion the Twilight Destroyer, a new and deadly force in this realm.

The Ruby Sanctum will feature 10- and 25-player content, Heroic difficulties and all-new rewards! Stay tuned for more information as we get closer to its release." Wowwiki

2- Patch (3.3.9) : Gnommergan and Echo Isles.

In this patch Gnommergan and Echo Isles will become the new home for gnomes and trolls as they will be the new capital cities for each of their factions , apparently they will have a magnificent role in Cataclysm , yet Blueposters didnt mention that much about them , except some Lore-Wise story.

New Tree , Better or Worse!?!?

Blueposters mentioned that the Druid's Tree Form mechanic will change as cataclysm show up , at the moment they talked that the new one will be :

1- A cool down based form , such as the Warlock's Metamorphosis.
2- As the Warlock's Metamorphosis grants the caster new Demonic abilities such as charging ,and the part it makes his shadow attacks hit harder , this Druid's new Tree Form will enchant the current spells , which makes it very situational , as you wont have it on always ; but only when needed.

Blueposters talked about the fact of druids not enjoying their armor look , because you would never see a druid healing a raid out of Tree Form , as it enchants Druid's healing , as the model of Tree Form well become some sort of cool looking as it was mentioned.

Some Blueposter mentioned that druids during the new Tree Form , will have those effects on
their spells :

1- Instant Rejuvenation . O.o
2- Life bloom will instantly stack by 2 .

Until now , thats what we know , so what you think ?

Hunters abilites at Cataclysm

As we are getting close to World Of Warcraft : Cataclysm release , some of us can hardly wait for the new changes for Hunters , while others really don't want Cataclysm because they feel that they wont like the changes.

As Blueposters on World Of Warcraft Official forums provided us a sneak peak to the hunters new abilities, that are :

-Cobra Shot (level 81) :
"A new shot that deals Nature damage instead of Physical damage. This ability will share a cooldown with Steady Shot. This will give hunters an alternative to Steady Shot on heavily-armored targets, and we will have talent incentives in the Beast Mastery tree to make this a signature shot. "

As Cobra Shot description appears as an alt of Steady Shot on heavy armored target , it mostly goes this way because of Armor Penetration on items and gems is removed , so it can be used in Specs that doesn't provide Armor Penetration such as BM & SV . The fact of it being Nature Damage makes armored targets damage reduction to have less of the effect on it , and thats because Damage reduction mostly effect Physical Damage , and so on the armor against this shot will be Nature resistance . The damage it will deal will probably benefit from both Spell power & Attack power buffs when raiding .. so until now its good news . :)

-Trap Launcher (level 83):
"When used, the next trap can be shot to a location within 40 yards. This provides the current Freezing Arrow treatment to all traps and, as a result, we will be removing the current ability Freezing Arrow. 1-minute cooldown. No global cooldown."

Trap Launcher is a very good fix to our traps , as we had the only Ranged Trap as "Freezing Arrow" , many players think this one is useless , but it gots many benefits , the most important thing is the fact it can be used at any Trap , and so on it will enable us to use Traps to DPS in raids, like to use Explosive Trap on trash and crowds , and using Immolation Trap on single bosses , so more DPS goes for us ! .

-Camouflage (level 85):
"The hunter enters an obscured state that prevents him or her from taking ranged damage. The character would still be subject to melee or area-of-effect attacks, and dealing or taking damage will break the Camouflage effect. The hunter can move and set traps when under Camouflage, and will receive a damage bonus when attacking while under Camouflage (which will then break the effect)."

Camouflage is one nice ability that well help us in many ways .. even though Blizzard did not mention the part if hunters can use it in combat or not ... but encase hunters are able to use it in combat then it will provide High DPS push , as they mentioned "..and will receive a damage bonus when attacking whole under Camouflage" , so we will be able to use it in our own rotation , as it gives damage bonus to our next attack , and in PvP it will help to survive against dotting classes , plus will help us as an opening ability before Nuking the enemy player , but anyways it still can help even if we cant use it in combat , you can count it as an opening high DPS the same as druid's pounce.

More to come! ....
